webmaster HannahHello, this is nice... you want to know more about your webmaster / evaluator !!!

My name is Hannah and every year on the 9th of November I celebrate my birthday. What I like the most about my birthday is the cake... My mum bakes the cakes and they are so jummie!!! I always try to save something... Usually I enjoy a bit more cake the day after (big smile).

At home we always had pets and since I went to live on my own there always were animals in my life. I started with a rabbit, but after that I got myself a cat and since then there were cats in my house. Last ten years I had Devon Rex cats, but since I saw Tribal Dancer on 'Marketplace' I've got involved in Persians. Tribal lives with a good friend of mine now, but he is still the face of my site. Now I have three Persians and I got myself a cattery name: It's Wishcraft. Next year (2008) or maybe this year after the summer, I hope to have my first litter. I totally love it, see those little ones grow up to cats with personality!

And there is the horse... I had no job and horse riding was my childhood dream... I started horse riding at the Riding School of Leeuwarden. There came a time that I wanted to do more then riding and I didn't have a job so plenty of time. It ended with buying my own horse and after three years I was the big boss :-) of the stables.

After that I worked three years with stallions. The Horse World is very hard, difficult to work in, but I never regretted these six years. They made me to what I am now... A job as a secretary was my goal, so I went back to school. I wanted to get some job experience and I got the chance to work at the municipality Leeuwarden (thanks Jettiena !!!). After half a year they asked me to stay and I stayed :-) But after seven years there it was time for something new; I just finished my legal studies. My first job interview was at another municipality and after a long procedure (more then two months, with an assessment) I got the job. I found my place there: great colleagues and most legal work, I love that, I like to puzzle!

Back to the award program (click).

I started with web building at the end of 2002, when a friend asked me to update his company's site. Because I never did anything in web building and I didn't understand anything about Java scripts (there were a lot on his site!) I built a site myself and a bit later I built a site for his fiance's company. In between I built my own site and I renewed a lot (yes, all three the sites), because with time I got more knowledge and experience (I am my own worst critic :-). Nowadays I maintain 7 sites...

Because I wanted to prove that my site was a good one I started applying for awards and after meeting Sandy I started my own award program. I didn't get a rating the first time I applied at Award Sites!, but with a lot of help from people of the awards community I got my first rating at Award Sites! and later with UWSAG, WebsAwards and other rating services (for links: see the ratings & listings page of the award program). As an evaluator I have 'work experience' other then with my own program: I was evaluator for the ethics program WWWEC (now closed), for WebsAwards (till August 2007), the BV Lindenheuvel Award Program (till May 2007, now closed), the Big Oscar Award Program (not open at this moment) and the Valkyrie Award Program (now closed). I am certified as an evaluator by Treasures of the Web and IWARA.
